The summer season at Design District Helsinki will begin with the Odd Week event on 17-22 May. Now being held for the third time, Odd Week will have shops and galleries as its venues, and on Thursday 20 May, Design District will stage its Late Night (S)hopping evening event.



The climax of the week will be the Odd Day design bazaar in Dianapuisto Park on 22 May (11am-4pm).

Coinciding with Odd Week, Design District Helsinki will publish a new map of the area, presenting its member firms and organizations, now numbering almost 200.

All that is needed are brush, colour, paper, water, moment, silence and surrender. - I paint points, lines, surfaces without any limitations, conducted by desires and temptations. A painting takes over and tells me what must be done. And life starts to be reflected on the paper.

A portrait series of people with delightful features. The series highlights people’s charming and not-so-charming traits. By focusing on people’s imperfections, such as fears, wounds, and limits, I believe I display us humans in a way which reveals more about us than beautiful, flawless, flattering pictures, which in my opinion do not reveal interesting details or go deeper. The series features people ”flaws and all”.
